Dolphy as a tiger in a boring pose again since I only needed something for messing around with a new colouring style.
I was so inspired by `s artwork that I tried drawing realistic fur.Well, I emphasize the "I tried".
Please don`t compare this pathetic picture to her masterpieces, ´cause I`m no where as good as her and it would be plain embarassing. XD
There`s still so much wrong with this pic.My big cats always turn out more cartoony than I want them to be and I know that tigers don`t live in the savannah but...this is just a picture, don`t take it too serious.
Gorgeous shading of the fur, I can see the texture and it looks so inviting and soft. *reaches to touch* The background is beautiful, too. Great job on those stars and trees.
Oh Dolphy shes absoutly beautiful! Her eyes and fur are so captivating. Sometimes cartoony is good. Well ok I shouldnt use the word cartoony- but more humanistic you know what I mean? It can give them more personalty. I think you found the perfect medium bewteen the two.
Wow...for your first time trying to draw something realistic, this is really, really good! The fur etc. and the shading are....nice. Sorry for the lack of words.
I think the thing that distinguishes realistic from cartoon pictures is the eyes. I've found that all animals only show the whites of their eyes when they're scared, the rest of the time the...whole eye bit thingy...takes up the whole space...or somesuch thing.
The background is...so SO SO SO GOOD! Are the trees handmade...or is it a brush set...?
oh...my...gawd. The rocks...
How can I explain myself?!?!
Like so.
My gawd I love this.

The trees are brushes I made in Photoshop and added some more details. And the rocks nearly drove me crazy. *lol*
Yep, seems that I have a weakness for more cartoony eyes.
